Circles
This week we will continue our study of our circles unit. At the end of last week, we defined some of the basic vocabulary terms associated with circles and practiced writing equations for circles in the coordinate plane. This week we will take a closer look at chord properties, tangent properties, inscribed angles and angles formed by chords, secants and tangents. Be prepared to complete some formatives this week, including a more formal formative on our third day of class for the week.
Summative Retakes for Unit 8: Triangles and Trigonometry
Students who are interested in retaking one or both sections of our unit 8 summative on triangles and trigonometry will need to make sure all assignments for the unit are complete, make corrections on the original assessment, complete extra practice, and take the retake on the day BEFORE our unit 9 summative assessment on circles.
